Because there's an entire freaking PLAYLIST for it now. And it just came out yesterday, so we wanted to try it. Plus, it's much easier to find a team to play with with the help of Matchmaking. Not everyone who plays the playlist is on a team, but there's definitely quite a few out there that we encountered last night.
Plus, you get double experience points for winning, which we do a lot because there are a lot of noobs in that playlist :).

Signups are over anyway. They've been over for days.
Who on the site would honestly play? The staff? There's only two staff members, other than me, who have mics even (LoneRanger refuses, for whatever reason), and why wouldn't I stick with the team I created for the last League? I can't say I didn't consider creating a team for the site, but I'm not going to abandon my team mates I've been playing with for months now.
who said we would be in the league I just want so semi reliable people to play with on a regular basis is all.
