Ford announced a few weeks ago that they are getting rid of about half their engines, the new 3.5L Duratec v6 is supposed to be the only V6 left in ford vehicles. That means the Fusion will lose it's 3.0L V6 it got from the taurus and now come with an optional 265hp engine, kick ass!

now since the 3.0L 24v V6 in the Fusion is inbetween the 3.0L 24v Taurus and the V8 SHO Taurus performance wise, the new 3.5L should be closer to the 3.0L SHO Taurus from the early nineties in terms of performance - which kicks ass! (only took ford 10 years to advance!)

Unfortunately this also means ford is not going to use the 4.4L Yamaha v8 in any of their vehicles, so no chance of a Five Hundred SHO - too bad :/

(that S80 kicks ass though)

Na, I think JEEP will make the hog, some of there prototypes are very simmular in design (and that I'm a chrysler tech).

the fusion being a warthog was a joke :o - family sedan turning into a combat military vehicle.....i dun think so :
