To be a great leader you must learn to take the shit of others and harden your soul with the wisdom of age, so that one day you can be the one that everyone turns to for help, support, and guidance.
Me and you might have a bit of a problem. I, personally, don't believe in the curse. Stuff happens, and that's why the Cubs haven't been to the World Series since 1945.
Four Reasons the Cubs Will Win the 2007 World Series
04.) Lou Pienella: He is the key to success. Pienella's not there to be a friend, he's just there to get you through October.
03.) Depth: Due to the season's injuries, a lot of younger players got a chance to play in the Big Leagues. Because of this, most of the reserves have experience, and will use it to their advantage if the need ever rises again.
02.) Health: Most of the team is rested. No one will have played hard for a good five months, and some for the better part of a year. Wood and Prior are scheduled to return, but they will not be the work force this time around. Baker relied far too heavily on the duo, Pienella doesn't have that problem.
Wade Miller's coming back as well. He just returned from arm surgery, and can be a huge gun in both the bullpen and the rotation. With him healthy, depth will finally come to the pitching staff.
01.) Everyone Else: The rest of the National League Central Division is falling apart. It's the same reason the Cardinals squeaked out a victory in the division.
The Cubs seem to be the only team with a defined future. And unless the Cardinals straighten out their pitching staff, they will be in trouble. Offense won't work against the strong rotation of a rejuvanated team; all Cardinals fans know how their numbers against the better staffs.
