Come here to discuss the "secret project" that was mentioned on the News page.  Try to speculate and guess as to what it is, I dare you.  If you guess right... I'll give you a cookie.  News post below for reference:


"Yes, on top of the secret page talked about below, there is another secret project currently in the works.  All I can say is it will make the site hugely popular, increase our prescence, keep people coming back for more, and generally make the site a better place.  It also is in conjunction with another site/blog which will help us with it (well, we have yet to ask, but we're fairly confident they'll say yes).  More details later this week, or early next week."

Lol sadly no, that's not the secret project.  BUT, I actually did have plans of making a Halo 3 Haven - even made the banner and a few articles.  Just never came to be; I decided to revive UNSCDF instead (or speed along the revival, whichever you prefer :P).  But hey, nice to see you again.  How did you... you know, find us?

Oh, and if you're going to answer, I think we should use PM's.  Otherwise, the Specualtion Thread will get clogged.  And nobody likes a clogged speculation thread.

Well, seeing as how the interview will take place on the 29th (next week), and how this Project will be sometime in the future after that, then no, it doesn't really involve the interview in any way, shape, or form - except the person it involves, Eric Nylund


Oh, and sorry to CK for just "dropping the bomb" about it not being the interview.  I just wanted to cement the fact that this is NOT part of the interview - it's going to be a totally new project with Nylund for the site, and his site.  So, keep speculating.

Are you going to combine the UNSCDF with ericnylund.net to create Eric Nylund's UNSCDF (ENUNCSDF, that's one hell of an acronym). And then are you going to brainwash your visitors with a refined form of online mind control? or is Eric Nylund going to supply prizes for competitions you hold, like exclusive prizes you can't get anywhere else. Would putting around 'Don't drop litter' signs around your site make it a better place?

Humm... no comment.  All I'm going to say is, "your getting warmer".  And, if you guess it right, I'll make a newspost, and announce our idea.  Although, note that at this point, it's still just and idea, although we're 99.0% sure he'll do it.  I mean, ask me a month ago if I thought I would be talking to Eric Nylund, get to interview him, and have him be an affiliate, I would have called you Mary and sent you to the loony-bin.  But, he's agreed to all of that so far without hesitation, and although this is slightly bigger, and may require work/permission with a certain videogame company, I still think we could pull it off.

would it have anything to do with him writing some sort of story or literature for the site, maybe involving the history of the UNSCDF or writing a seperate short story from the halo universe based on different characters?

I'm curious what it is too? After all I've done for this site... (tears roll down face) I don't even get to know what the "secret project" is.


I am fairly mad though, Nylund's my favorite author. And I'm planning on ordering the Signal series soon.
