:: Spartan 123 reporting. I am being held captive by the Covenant on a Cruiser. My destination is unknown. But I do believe that we have passed the Yoction Nebula. I have barely stayed alive. The hierarchs, as they are called, have no idea of our existence. The Elites have kept us alive feeding us scraps. I have not determined their reason, but I do believe that if we are found out, the hierarchs will kill us, and the Elites responsible. Please find me. I am sending this from the Covenant Battle net. I hope I am not found out. Over and out ::

Journal Entry
Spartan 123
9.23.2552
Entry Start
It’s been two years. Tomorrow is our anniversary. I can’t wait to see what he got me. I know we’re not supposed to love each other. I think it’s natural though. No matter how much they suppressed our sex drive, we still love each other. We probably would have been failed back then, if it weren’t for our separation until 2 ½ years ago. We should be rejected now, they can read this when ever they want. But we haven’t been, so we must do some good for them. But that doesn’t matter. I can’t wait to see what he got me. If he didn’t, it’s okay, it’s hard to get each other stuff when we’re like this. I wonder what it’ll be like when we retire. I haven’t seen his face yet! And he hasn’t seen mine! Well that’s just not right. It’s been two years. Well, I want to see it tomorrow. I need to see it tomorrow. For now, I’m going to sleep. Good night.
Command Post E-12, in control of the A.C.S.E. (Atlantis Central Space Elevator), was ambushed at 0825 hours. Covenant rushed out of the space elevator, taking the two privates by surprise. Pvt. Walley was killed immediately, being stuck with a plasma grenade. Pvt. Harkins escaped, warning Lt. Spurn and Sgt. Marks of the ambush. Sgt. Marks and Pvt. Harkins stood guard at the command post, while Lt. Spurn went to get the three Spartans in their sleeping quarters. When he got there, only Spartans 138 and 045 were present. He took them to the ambush. Sgt. Marks was dead, plasma burns on his body. Pvt. Harkins was missing. Spartan 138 was ordered to leave the premises to find Spartan 123 and Pvt. Harkins. Spartan 045 was ordered to keep guard, as the Covenant were no where to be seen. Lt. Spurn checked to make a radio connection with Spartan 123. The connection failed. Lt Spurn left Spartan 045 to search the Space Elevator. After reaching the Space Elevator, Lt. Spurn again tried to make radio connection. This time Spartan 123 reported, as well as the other Spartans. Minutes later radio connection with Lt. Spurn was lost.
We’re being attacked! Ambushed! It’s the Covenant! They’re sending ships into the ports. Ports 1, 4, and 6 have been blown up. They’re nearing this port! Send reinforcements. Send marines. Send Spartans! Anyth---

The human planet has been annihilated. Atlantis they named it. Glassed and destroyed. The ground troops found nothing. No crystal. We’re in route back to High Charity. We’ve just passed the nebula we passed on the way to the planet. As for our troop tally, it isn’t good. Many casualties were lost on the surface. The human had something we didn’t expect, some kind of machine. It was puzzling, hard to defeat. It had the similar strength as our own Sangheili. We’ve captured one, and are going to experiment it. I must leave now, a fight has broken out between a few of my brethren.

Listen well. Ship Commander Dosna Klee has captured a human made object. Holding it prisoner. He described it as a machine. It has similar strength as our Sangheili. He wishes to experiment! But no! No human, or human made object will be held captive. It must be destroyed! Destroyed! They deserve no right to live! Dosna Klee shall be punished! The Vanguard of Chivalry decommissioned. The crew’s fate will be yours! This shall happen, unless the human creation is destroyed! They shall arrive in short time! Their fate is in your hands brothers. Make the decision well!

For ages we have been inducting new races into our Covenant! The newest of which are the Jiralhanae. So why, I ask, why haven’t the humans been joined? What do our hierarchs have against them? Whatever it is, it is so much, that they dare threaten me with death if the human isn’t killed. They dare threaten the whole crew, the warriors also, with punishment. They will put this ship itself into decommission. Something is wrong my brothers. Something is terribly wrong. I wish not to kill the human, for much can be learned, much about the humans. You don’t either, we have much to learn, strategies, and tactics. We will fake it. Fake the human’s death. Tell the hierarchs it is dead. And we shall keep it all a secret. Tell no one my brothers. Tell no one. Secure an area for transmission. We are going to broadcast back to High Charity. I shall be there soon my brothers. Don’t forget what I have said.

Sangheili Flona: Major, we’re under fire!
Major Sangheili: I cannot assist, for I am too.
Sanheili Flona: It’s a lone human. They’re stopping our advance.
Major Sangheili: We should have brought more! And we should have stayed at the human elevator. It was a bad idea to leave it.
Sangheili Flona: We’ve subdued it. The human, wait, it’s a machine. We’ve knocked it unconscious I believe. Yes, it isn’t dead. Should I kill it Major?
Major Sangheili: Did you say it was a machine?
Sangheili Flona: Correct.
Major Sangheili: No, don’t dispose of it. We’re taking it to Klee. I’m sure he’ll find it interesting. A human creation fighting us. This is new.
Sangheili Flona: Yes sir. Two Unggoy, and a Kig-yar are dead. All of the Sangheili including myself are alive. One is hurt however.
Major Sangheili: I am making my way. The humans here have been killed. I am nearing your position.

Ship Commander Klee! A small vessel is leaving the human elevator. It isn’t a military ship. It seems to be a human trade ship. Should I fire upon the ship?
Feedback
No. It is only a trade ship. It is doubtful that military personnel are aboard it. Leave it be.
I had never been so frightened in my life. They attacked from everywhere. We never knew it was coming. They tore open slip space right outside Atlantis’s atmosphere. They rushed the elevator, taking out almost all of my comrades. Only the Spartans and Lt. Spurn. But Spurn was killed soon. One of the Spartans also fell victim to them. One escorted me off the planet, and the female one stayed behind. She was supposed to come with us, but she never made it. We barely escaped; we had to take a cargo ship. Everything went to hell afterwards.
:: This is Spartan 123 reporting I can see them! I see the ships. They’re sending bombers. I’m so relieved. The Elites were trying to fake my death for some reason, I’m not sure why. But the ships, the halcyons and frigates, all the cruisers and MAC guns! There’s tons of them! I thank you a lot Private Harkins! Thank you so much for telling Lord Hood on the “Cairo”! Over and out.::

Private Harkins of the UNSC, you are awarded a Purple Heart, and are promoted to Private First Class for your actions in the line of duty and warfare with the Covenant. Spartan Louise-123, you are awarded a Purple Heart, and POW for your actions in the line of duty, warfare, and capture. You lead us to retrieving a Covenant fleet, and capturing a very important fleet commander of the Covenant. Spartan Lance-045, you are also awarded the Purple Heart for your actions in the line of duty and warfare with the covenant. The loss of Atlantis is a tragic loss. However, the capture of a Covenant fleet is a reminder, that with every bad, we have good. We can celebrate our victory, the first in space, over the Covenant. You three soldiers have contributed greatly to the Human cause.
Pretty cool, only had time to read the final Marine entry though. I'll read the others later. So... is this a submission though? I think we'll accept it, if you want it to be.
Well... I had no intention of submitting it, merely to let people know of it. I mean... it doesn't need to be submitted. What's the difference between submitting it, and posting it here?
(Thanks, this is one of my more inventive writings)
Well, if it's submitted to the 'Fan Fiction' section it will live on forever. If not, the story will simply be cleared out along with all the other messages not attached to a sticky. All in due time, of course.
But it's your choice. I won't argue with you.
